AN INTRODUCTION from Pasquali Tractors Australia head Drew Gemmell-Murdoch
Born and bred on a sheep and cattle farm on the edge of the Scottish Highlands I am well and truly Primary Industries oriented.
At a very early age I displayed a strong mechanical aptitude and always seemed to be tinkering with mechanical development around the farm. I began my engineering life as an apprentice in a precision engineering workshop and furthered my studies in design engineering at night school.
Many weekends were spent logging Pine trees for a relative who owned sawmills and there I became a bit of an expert in the mechanical innovations that were taking over the industry at that time.
In the early 1970’s, I was approached by a representative of Australian logging and milling interests with a view to emigrating to Australia to demonstrate and develop European mechanised logging “Down Under”.
I developed one of the worlds first harvesters for Pine trees here in Australia and subsequently I have invented, designed and developed equipment for other diverse industries such as quarrying, cotton, vegetable harvesting and macadamia harvesting.
Right now I am developing an implement to reduce the incidence of fungal and other diseases in orchard and other plantations. When finalised, this implement will be a simple 3 point linkage attachment specifically designed to take advantage of the unique Pasquali Tractors reverse drive system which enhances the Work Place Health and Safety Rules by allowing the operator to “ watch what they are doing, not what has been done”.
The PASQUALI name goes back to 1946 when production first began so expect proven capability and reliability from Pasquali.
Improve and enhance productivity with advanced operating features such as Agile Manoeuvrability especially in tight situations such as Row Cropping, Vineyards, and Orchards. Pasquali excells when picking a path through rough terrain.
The low centre of gravity equates with our slogan SAFETY FIRST. When coupled to their equal wheels dimension, 4 wheel drive and 4 wheel electo-hydraulic diff locks, Pasquali tractors are amongst the most sure footed of any rubber tyred machine on steep and undulating terrain.
Various wheel and tyre choices are available to suit required grip/floatation conditions.
WATCH WHAT YOU ARE DOING - NOT WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!
PASQUALI Tractors are fitted with a unique system which allows the operator IN LESS THAN 10 SECONDS to turn the seat, foot pedals and the dash board/steering wheel units through a 180 degree arc which pivots around the gear leaver cluster. This is especially advantageous when operating a large number of implements such as slashers, mulchers, rotary hoes and 3PL. fork lifts etc.
PASQUALI Tractors Australia P/L maintains a stock of spare parts to cater for the repair and maintenance of the range imported.
Engineered and built to a high standard " IN HOUSE" at their factory in Milan, Italy. PASQUALI Tractors are capable of delivering and sustaining continuous high output at a professional level. Fitted standard with Power Take Off drive, 3 Point Linkage and Multiple remote hydraulic outlets, they are capable of powering a vast range of diverse implements. Indeed, almost all 3 point linkage implements imaginable are operated on PASQUALI Tractors somewhere in the world today.
We feature an extensive range of Pasquali models to match the many and varied working applications around Australia
RS= rigid steer, AR = articulated steer, DUAL STEER IS a unique combination of both.(very effective).
I have been using one of the 84HP models mainly for contract slashing for over 2 years and I am continually being amazed by it's capabilities. Where conventional 4WD tractors are restricted on steep slopes to slashing down hill then grubbing their way back to the top and
slashing down again, these tractors not only have the ability to slash BOTH UP AND DOWN but also the capability to slash ACROSS the slopes. I am constantly slashing across deep ruts left by previous contractors and in time I have repaired and prevented the risk of erosion. At a little over half the weight of a conventional tractor of the same horse power, combined with clever weight distribution, the right choice of tyres and the fact that they are TRUE 4WD's, these machines leave almost no foot print (Council friendly). Its reversible driving position is undoubtedly one of the tractors greatest features when it comes to lantana. Prior to spraying, with the slasher now lifted high out front, you simply march straight in, lower it on the plant and chop it to shreds.
Because this tractor has the unique ability to turn the driving position around, I also bought from PASQUALI AUSTRALIA an Australian manufactured Burder rear mounted loader with a 6 foot wide 4 in 1 bucket. With it's manoeuvrability, wet multi disc clutch and brakes complimented with planetary hub reductions, better balance and no bulky engine between me and the loader, makes this combination as handy as a bobcat but still with the ability to work on much steeper terrain. I also have a "Digga" post hole borer and, when fencing, I now dig less holes by hand than before simply because I couldn't get a machine close to the exact post position. When I bought this tractor I was looking for the most "multifunctional" tractor I could find. I sincerely believe this to be the most versatile tractor on the market today.
